Assistant Professor, School of Nursing, University of Ottawa

Kim McMillan is an Assistant Professor in the School of Nursing, University of Ottawa and an academic mentor in the Palliative Nursing Ethics Hub, a subsidiary of the Centre for Research on Health and Nursing - a partnership between the Canadian Nurses Association and the University of Ottawa. Her program of research focuses on the intersect of organizational life and moral nursing practice. Her PhD research was a critical organizational analysis of nurses experiences of rapid and continuous change.

Director, Centre of Excellence & Research Operations, Perley Health

Danielle Sinden is the Director of the Centre of Excellence and Research Operations at Perley Health. Danielle has a Master of Arts in Gerontology, specializing in health and aging. She has 15 years’ experience in health research and operations. Danielle’s current role at Perley Health is focused on building a Centre of Excellence in Frailty-Informed Care, which focuses on applied research, education and knowledge translation in order to improve the care and quality of life of older adults living with frailty. A research priority of the Centre of Excellence is to implement and evaluate the use of technology in long-term care, including how technology can assist staff and improve quality of life for older adults.
