Understanding How Your Accuro Providers Sync with ACM Messenger

To ensure your patient messages are accurate and reach the right people, it is important to understand how ACM Messenger identifies and maps different provider types in Accuro.

The Three Provider Types in Accuro

Accuro identifies three distinct provider roles. Depending on your clinic type (Family Practice vs. Specialty), these may be used differently:

  • Family Provider: Usually the patient’s external primary care doctor or referring physician.
  • Enrolled Provider: Locks a patient to a specific doctor for roster-based billing. Usually blank for specialists.
  • Office Provider: The “Most Responsible Provider” (MRP) within your specific clinic who handles internal workflows
How do these filters show up in ACM Messenger?

To help you find what you need quickly, we’ve made sure your Accuro settings match up with our system. When you’re using filters in ACM Messenger, here is how the names translate:

  • Primary Care Provider  is pulled from your Enrolled Provider field in Accuro.
  • Office Provider is pulled from your Care Provider field in Accuro.
