Accessibility
Built to be used by everyone
We are committed to making cliniconex.com usable for every visitor, including people who rely on assistive technology. Accessibility supports our mission: helping care teams reach every patient and resident, clearly and reliably.
Our commitment
We want everyone to be able to find information, understand it, and act on it — regardless of ability, device, or assistive technology. We treat accessibility as an ongoing responsibility rather than a one-time project, and we build it into how we design and develop our pages.
Conformance status
We work to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at Level AA. In the United States, this is the standard referenced by the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) and Section 508. In Ontario, it aligns with the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act (AODA), 2005 and its regulations, which call for WCAG-aligned digital accessibility for patient-facing interfaces. Most of our website currently meets this standard. A few areas are still being brought fully into line, and we are actively working to close those gaps.
What we have done
- Structured, semantic markup so assistive technology can navigate headings, landmarks, and lists.
- Full keyboard operability — every interactive element can be reached and used without a mouse.
- Color choices checked for sufficient contrast against their backgrounds.
- Descriptive alternative text for images that carry meaning.
- Clear, visible focus indicators so keyboard users always know where they are.
- Respect for your system "reduce motion" setting, plus an on-site control to calm animations.
Adjusting your experience
Look for the accessibility button in the bottom-right corner of any page. It opens a small panel where you can enlarge the text, turn on higher contrast, reduce motion and background effects, highlight links, and increase the spacing between lines, letters, and words.
Your choices are saved for your next visit. These settings change how the site looks for you — they do not change the content.
Known limitations
We would rather be honest about where we still have work to do. Some third-party content embedded in our pages — such as certain forms, videos, and scheduling tools — may not yet fully meet our accessibility target. We are working with those providers and updating our own pages to improve this, and we are adding captions and transcripts to our training and webinar videos.
Give us feedback
If you run into a barrier on our site, or you need information in a different format, we want to hear from you. Please tell us the page, what you were trying to do, and the assistive technology you were using, if any. We aim to respond within five business days.
