Publishing a Form
Publishing a Form
Publishing a form makes it live so you can start collecting responses. Draft forms can be edited freely, but once a form is published, its structure is locked to ensure data consistency.
Steps to Publish a Form
- Open the form you want to publish in the Form Editor
- Review the form fields, layout, and validation rules to ensure everything is complete
- In the bottom-right corner of the editor, click Publish
- The form’s status will change from Draft to Published
Share the form link or embed it where needed to start collecting responses.
What Happens When a Form is Published?
- The form becomes live and available to respondents
- Responses will be stored in Submitted Forms
- You cannot make direct edits to the published version
Important Rules About Published Forms
A published form cannot be reverted back to draft, edited, and republished. This prevents inconsistent or messy data.
If you need to make changes:
- Copy the form and edit the copy, or
- Unpublish the form (see below)
Unpublishing a Form
If you no longer want the form to collect responses:
- Open the form settings
- Select Unpublish
- The form’s status will change to Draft (Unpublished)
🔎 Note: An unpublished form cannot be edited, but you can republish it at any time to make it live again.
